North Northumberland Voluntary Forum

“Bringing community and voluntary groups together in North Northumberland”

The Berwick Voluntary Forum was established to promote and develop the work of voluntary organisations in the community. A dedicated centre at Tweed Street, Berwick-upon-Tweed was officially opened on 23 April 1998.

In the summer of 2016 the Berwick Voluntary Forum announced that the Voluntary Forum would officially change its name to North Northumberland Voluntary Form (NNVF). This name change reflected the evolving geographical focus of the Voluntary Forum.

Additional project include:

The Rural Us Wellbeing Project – Working together for mental wellbeing

Volunteering in North Northumberland – Supporting people who support our communities

Without Limits – Project offering social contact and support to those who have experienced a life altering illness or health condition and who are aged between 35 – 65 yrs old.

Memory Laner’s – The idea for this group grew out of many conversations with people living with dementia and their family and friends . Somewhere to meet, to talk, to laugh and to sing , to remember old songs and learn new ones , somewhere to talk about old memories and somewhere to build some new ones .
