Transport Project – The Board of Trustees appointed Richard Froggatt last Autumn as the Transport Project Officer for North Northumberland – this post is funded by The National Lottery. Richard is based at the Berwick Voluntary Centre. But he is out and about in the community visiting rural locations and village halls to find out what works and where there are shortfalls in transport.

Richard launched the Wooler Hoppa Bus on Monday 22 July in partnership with Northumberland County Council. This bus will run Monday – Saturday from 10am – 3pm servicing the Wooler Town. It is just a pilot project for 12 weeks so if this service is well-used it will be seen as a sustainable asset to the community. For more information about the Wooler Hoppa look out for the fliers in the retails shops in Wooler or give Richard a call tel. 01289 304141.

In addition if you are involved in a sustainable community transport project or you have concerns about transport links in your community then please get in touch with Richard. Contact tel. 01289 304141 (answer phone) please leave your name and contact details and Richard will call you back.
