Transport Project – Richard Froggatt, Community Transport Project Officer launched the trail Wooler Hoppa Bus in July 2024, in partnership with Northumberland County Council. This bus was just a pilot project for 12 weeks however we are delighted to announce that it will continue into early 2025. Voluntary and Community Annual Awards – The 2024 Annual Awards evening was held in September 2024 and we were delighted that the awards were supported again by BEDMAX UK and local charities, voluntary and community groups took centre stage at an invitation only award evening. We will be launching the 2025 North Northumberland Voluntary and Community Awards in the Spring of 2025. Please visit the Awards web page for more information.

Rural Us Project – We were awarded funding from The National Lotter Community Fund for The Rural Us Project (Continues) – this project was awarded £191,963.00 over 3 years to help the communities of North Northumberland. Karen Ridley took up her post as the project officer for the Rural Us Project Continues in November. Karen will be focusing on the communities down the east coast from Berwick down to Beadnell.

North Northumberland Network (NNN) – We hosted the winter NNN meeting at Lowick at the end of November in Lowick Village Hall. The meeting was well supported and lots of issues were raised pertaining to the VCSE in North Northumberland.
